A retired Chemical Engineer and now a consultant, Mr Namboodiri devotes his free time to Sanskrit. He has close ties with Samskrita Bharati both as a student from 2006 on, and as a volunteer teacher since 2009. He conducts their Gita Sopanam classes in Bangalore. At nearly 60 years of age, he got a diploma in Sanskrit from the Tirupati University. He has contributed vastly to Sanskrit Appreciation Hour - particularly in teaching anvaya-racanā, the traditional and extremely methodical way to approach Sanskrit verses. When he's not travelling to Mumbai and Goa on work, Namboodiri ji visits his family home in Guruvayur, Kerala.

Hari Tirumalai, born in traditionally sanskritized-vedic family from Mysore, became a VLSI Engineer by misfortune but, always kept interest in SamskRtam and kRSNa-yajurveda(Taittiriya-shAkhA) .. wanting to dedicate life to learning the hidden secrets of vedAs, trying to connect dots between siddhAntas and quantum-physics .. hoping to see light at the end of the bhava-saagara!

Eric M Gurevitch was drawn to Sanskrit when he hardly knew what the Mahabharata was. But Sarasvati is mysterious in her ways and doesn't let people out of her grip easily, and he quickly fell in love with the language and the sentiments expressed in it. He has read many texts concerning the gods and goddesses, but right now he is taking a break from the spiritual and trying to learn about worldly kings and how they expressed themselves. Still, the Shatapatha Brahmana will always have a special place in his heart. He is currently living in Mysore and sometimes blogs at

Suhas Mahesh is an undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Science. Though blissfully wedded to physics during day, he ekes out time to woo language at night. Despite his diplomatic insistence that he loves all languages equally, sources close to him reveal that he has a special corner in his heart for gīrvāṇī. Half of his free time is spent oohing and aahing over beautiful words. The other half is spent convincing others they must be oohing and aahing too. Suhas's other interests include philosophy, aesthetics, electronics and etymology. He also dabbles in poetastry, Classical Latin and Carnatic music. Suhas is available for chit-chat on interesting topics
